Insulated Tumblers to Take Boating

Insulated Tumblers to Take Boating

It used to be that you took whatever can or bottled beverage you wanted to drink on board and threw a koozie over it. Now it seems like boaters everywhere prefer chilling their drinks in insulated tumblers. Here are three to check out.

The Chug: Cup holders be damned. The Toadfish uses Smartgrip technology on the bottom of the tumbler to hold it in place wherever you set it. It’s made of stainless steel with double-walled vacuum insulation to keep your beverage at the desired temperature. There are measuring lines inside the cup so you can pour to exact specifications.

The Glug: It’s smaller than the others and might not fit in your cup holders, if that’s where you want to put it.

The Chug: This stainless-steel, double-walled, vacuum-insulated tumbler offers the best bang for your buck at the 28-ounce size. It fits in most standard cup holders and has a different lid style than the others. Instead of clear plastic, it has a black plastic lid with a closable press-in mechanism to prevent leaks and spills.

The Glug: Its taller profile could make it more prone to tipping or getting knocked over on boats.

The Chug: Yeti has become synonymous with rugged, outdoorsy coolers and tumblers. The Rambler is made of stainless steel with double-walled insulation inside that keeps coffee warm and cold drinks cold for the whole trip. The Magslider lid uses magnet technology to keep it secure while underway. Unlike some other Yeti products, this fits most standard cup holders.

The Glug: The lid isn’t entirely spill-proof, so watch out in rough seas.
