Image of the Week: Image Of The Year? MTI 390X Versus Stunt Plane
By reporting on some of his newest toys from the likes of Marine Technology Inc., Midnight Express Boats, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats and more, and seeing his radical performance boats at events up and down the East Coast, we’ve come across a lot of incredible pictures of Maryland performance boater David Landsman’s go-fast rides throughout the years. But none top this beauty of Landsman’s MTI 390X catamaran at last weekend’s Tiki Lee’s Shootout On The River in Sparrows Point, Md.

And thanks to Stan Piet of Schultz Air Shows in Clearfield, Pa., Landsman, who took delivery of his new 39-foot MTI powered twin Mercury Racing 450R engines after the Miami International Boat Show in February, now has a new favorite image to hang on the wall.
Pictured “racing” the 390X in an exhibition pass with the Brian Correll Airshow’s highly modified Pitts S2S being flown by Correll just feet away from the 39-footer, Landsman said the experience during the event’s airshow on Sunday morning was something he will remember forever.
“What a sick experience and an adrenaline rush,” Landsman posted on Facebook hours after his friend, Tiki Lee’s Dock Bar owner David Carey, sent Landsman out on the course to race the aerobatic stunt plane. “I have to thank David for including us in on the action.
“And just when you thought you tracked own all the best footage possible, this one pops up! Boom—the ‘money shot’,” he added earlier today when he shared the incredible image above.
Money shot indeed. Well done Stan and everyone who had a hand in putting on the show.
