Gallery Of The Week: Super Cat Fest West Goes Big

With a full week separating last weekend’s Super Cat Fest West event and this weekend’s Desert Storm Poker Run, Lake Havasu City, Ariz., locals have enjoyed a longer-than-usual break between the two blockbuster events. But the memories of the third-year, sold-out Super Cat Fest West are still fresh for exhibitors and participants who also will be in town for the upcoming Desert Storm happening.

And there are many of them, including DCB Performance Marine’s Tony Chiaramonte. The Phoenix- based company and KICKER Marine Audio of Stillwater, Okla., were presenting sponsors of Super Cat Fest West. Both also support Desert Storm.

The latest DCB M42R catamaran was a show-stealer.
Of the 135 boats registered for last weekend’s event, 38 were of the DCB kind.
“Super Cat Fest West had a great vibe and atmosphere,” Chiaramonte commented. “It really good—and there were a lot of people.”

The Saturday night auction at Horizon Motorsports hauled in more than $340,000 for local children’s charities in Lake Havasu City.
John Teague, Chiaramonte’s fellow DCB teammate, was equally impressed with the event produced by local personality Dave Johnson of RiverDavesPlace.com fame and Missouri’s Alvin Heathman, the man behind the annual late-August Super Cat Fest affair at the Lake of the Ozarks.

“On both nights, the number of people on the docks and in the parking lot was massive,” Teague said.
The crew DCB completed its latest M42R catamaran just in time for the event.
“We had some last-minute details to finish, so it came in hot on Wednesday night,” he said, then chuckled. “And it stole the show.”

The 2025 version of Super Cat Fest West ended with a bang.
