Gallery Of The Week: Performance Boat Center Spring Boat Show

Perfectly positioned to host its own boat show and open house with expansive space on land and at the docks, a beautiful showroom, its own restaurant with a pool for the kids and a tiki bar for their parents and much more, Performance Boat Center is doing exactly that this weekend. The event kicked off yesterday at the multi-brand dealership’s Osage Beach, Mo., headquarters.

“The event was a good time with powerboats of all types to check out,” Helmkamp said. “I don’t know the exact number, but I would guess 30 to 40 boats under the covered docks for show-goers to view.

There was plenty of high-performance hardware for show-goers to check out under the Performance Boat Center’s covered docks.

“The weather held up,” he added in reference to yesterday’s forecast, which called for intermittent rain.

The odds are against the Performance Boat Center crew and would-be visitors enjoying dry weather for the remainder of the weekend. Rain is forecasted for much of today and tomorrow.

“It stormed last night and early this morning,” Helmkamp said. “I haven’t looked outside yet to see what it’s doing now, but it’s like 100 percent chance of rain today. I’m actually getting ready to get up and head home.”
