Frigomar’s new range of high-performance chilled water air conditioning systems utilise the company’s own design of brushless DC inverter drive system, delivering 50% higher energy efficiency than old style start/stop units.
Other chilled water air conditioning products on the market may have inverter drive systems but they use a commercially available power package which bolts on, explained Rod Boreham, MD of UK distributor Advance Yacht Systems.
The result is less sophisticated and much larger physically.
“Frigomar chillers are less than half the volumetric size and draw 30% less power for the same cooling capacity than competing inverter drive chillers,” said Rod.
There are four chillers in the new range, 50,000 BTU/h, 70,000 BTU/h and now 120,000 BTU/h and 180,000 BTU/h.
“Frigomar has achieved an incredible technical advance with their unique power control system and they are way ahead of the competition in terms of their compact size and low energy consumption,” added Rod. “Their technology has kept them at the front, so it’s no surprise that they enjoy a rather exclusive client list including superyacht yards such as Perini Navi, Benetti and Southern Wind.”
Advance Yacht Systems is also an authorised importer for the Marine Systems Inc (MSI) air control products enabling the company to supply a complete air conditioning package.
