Frazier Kicks Off BAM Kayak Series with a Dominant Win at Clear Lake
The 2025 BAM Kayak Series launched in spectacular fashion with Event #1 at Clear Lake, drawing 72 kayak anglers ready to battle for the $9,066 payout in cash and contingencies. This event, presented by Tackle Warehouse & Headwaters Adventure Company, was hosted at Clearlake Outdoors in Lakeport, CA—a top destination for bass fishing enthusiasts.
From sunrise to the final cast, competitors faced challenging yet rewarding conditions, with only 10 limits caught across the field. However, one angler separated himself from the pack—Reed Frazier, who delivered an incredible 107-inch bag, securing his victory with a five-fish limit estimated at 38 pounds!

How Reed Frazier Conquered Clear Lake
Reed Frazier’s winning performance was one for the record books. His massive 107-inch total was anchored by two bass over 9 pounds, setting the bar high for the season opener.
Frazier’s strategy:
Targeting cruising fish in 10-20 feet of water
Utilizing Garmin LiveScope with a Sniper Marine “Scout Pole”
Throwing a Crush City Mooch Minnow on a 3/32-ounce Rangeroller jighead
By staying mobile and locating active fish on his forward-facing sonar, Frazier was able to fire up these Clear Lake giants and coax them into biting. His ability to stay locked on his targets made all the difference in an event where finding quality fish was a challenge.
Right behind him, Joseph Silva made things interesting by securing an impressive 103.50-inch total, finishing in second place with a well-earned podium spot.
