First Look: Grady-White Freedom 345
We got an early look at the brand-new Grady-White Freedom 345 at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The Grady-White Freedom 345 dual console offers premium flagship features typically found on larger models on a smaller 33-foot platform.
Cockpit Features
Starting in the cockpit, let’s talk fishability. The Freedom 345 offers:
- Dual side doors for easy access.
- Dual fuel fills for convenience.
- A transom fully dedicated to cold, insulated storage, including:
- A large, optional refrigerated freezer box.
- A live well.
- An additional insulated box with overboard drainage.
The cockpit also features Grady-White’s patented folding seat, wide enough for three people. You can electrically extend the lounge for versatile seating options—whether you’re fishing or just cruising in comfort.
There’s also a wet bar that’s perfect for entertaining, with a grill, a sink with hot and cold water, a refrigerator drawer, and plenty of storage drawers throughout.
Helm Station
At the helm station, you’ll notice a beautifully integrated windshield that’s seamlessly built into the hardtop frame. Visibility is excellent from every seat and every angle.
The helm station features big-boat styling elements, including:
- A sleek, blacked-out dash.
- Stainless steel push buttons.
- Space for dual 19-inch displays.
- All Yamaha controls within easy reach.
There’s also seating for both the captain and companion, with dual bucket seats that are independently adjustable. These seats come with fold-down armrests and flip-up bolsters for added comfort.
The companion seat is a standout. It offers wraparound seating and multiple lounging configurations—face forward, face a table (on a high-low pedestal), or lay it flat with a filler cushion to create a relaxing space.
Dual Console Design
Being a dual console, the Freedom 345 offers two completely separate interior spaces.
On the port side, the entertainment area can be expanded by opening the door to reveal:
- A large seating area that easily converts to a double berth with the push of a button.
- Cabinet doors with fluted inlays for a high-end finish.
On the starboard side, the head compartment is equally impressive, featuring:
- A Corian countertop.
- A stainless steel sink.
- Ample storage.
- A wet head with a pull-out faucet for showering.
Bow Area
The bow is another highlight, offering features often underutilized on other models:
- Full cushioning with diamond-quilted backrests and lumbar pillows.
- Fold-down armrests.
- An easy-up bow shade for sun protection.
- An electrically extendable aft shade to cover the cockpit area.
