Cigarette Rendezvous On Track For Another Big Turnout

The parade of noteworthy go-fast boating events at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri continues this weekend with the Big Thunder Marine-produced Cigarette Racing Team Owners Rendezvous. In 2024, the annual celebration of the vaunted brand attracted 90 to 100 sportboats and center consoles from the Opa-Locka, Fla., builder.

Registration for this year’s Cigarette-only affair is on track to match or exceed last year’s turnout.

“We’ve had an incredible response leading up to this weekend’s Cigarette Rendezvous, and the excitement continues to build,” said Sage Rush, the marketing coordinator for Big Thunder Marine. “We’ll be running the boats on Friday with several planned stops before ending the day at our Legends Party.

“Big Thunder Marine is proud to host this unforgettable event once again,” she added.

Though a more detailed itinerary will be released during the Thursday evening welcome party at Big Thunder Marine’s Speed and Luxury Showroom in Lake Ozark, the on-the-water fun kicks off Friday following a complimentary buffet breakfast and a mandatory drivers meeting at the Camden On The Lake Resort. Breakfast is slated to begin at 8 a.m. Departure time is set for 10 a.m.

The Cigarette Owners Rendezvous is the most popular single-brand happening at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Hosted this year at Lazy Gators, the“Legends After-Party” will follow the multi-stop run. A “Born In The U.S.A.”-themed raft-up is planned for the following day.

Rush urged would-be participants not to wait until the last minute to sign up and secure lodging at the Camden On The Lake Resort host venue.
