Boyne Thunder Sells Out In Two Minutes And Change
The owner of a color-matched pair of catamarans from Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats, Jeremy Tschida was in a particularly fine mood last Saturday afternoon. Not only was he enjoying lunch with his wife, Kristie, and their son, Tyler, at Three Fishermen Restaurant in North Fort Myers, Fla., during the latest Fort Myers Offshore event, he had officially registered for the 2025 Boyne Thunder Poker Run that morning.

“We made it,” he said, his grin even broader than usual. “Burton (Kirsten) made it in, too.”
With just 60 of 120 slots available—the first 60 were taken during sponsor registration—as usual for general registration, the July 11-12 event based out of Boyne City, Mich., sold out in two minutes and change.
“We sold all but about five spaces in two minutes,” explained Ingrid Day, Boyne Thunder’s events coordinator. “After the system cleared itself out, we sold the rest. So a couple of folks who waited got real lucky.”
Day paused for a moment. “We are truly humbled by the enthusiasm for our event,” she continued. “I wish we had space for everyone.”
Based in Minnesota, the Tschidas will be in the Boyne Thunder Poker Run mix this summer.
