Boat Strikes Barge off Martha’s Vineyard | New England Boating & Fishing

A 33-foot Pursuit powerboat with three people aboard struck a barge in tow off East Chop, Martha’s Vineyard, on Wednesday night, June 24.

Responding to the scene were Coast Guard crews from Station Menemsha and Woods Hole, as well as a Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Cape Cod. The boaters’ injuries were not severe, and the vessel was towed to the Falmouth Harbor fuel pier by Towboat US.

Navigation lights aboard the barge were affirmed to be in working order.
