In late January, Big East Marine took on the MTI catamaran and center consoles lines. Cats from the Wentzville, Mo., boatbuilder range from 34 to 52 feet. On the center-console side, MTI offers 42-, 50- and 57-footers.

In contrast, the five-model line of Tide Craft Island Series rigid-inflatable boats ranges from 10 to 16 feet. And now the full-service dealership, which is based in the Toronto, Ontario area, is the official Canadian dealer for the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based RIB company.

“I really liked the Tide Craft line and feel the boat are very cool for the money,” explained Cole Leibel, who owns the dealership as well as the Big East Construction. Super Stock-class offshore racing team. “It’s a great, small lake-cottage boat very similar to what I had as my first boat, which was safe and fun.”

According to a press release from Tide Craft, the “partnership ensures Canadian customers can now purchase a Tide Craft Boat without the challenges of international shipping or cross-border logistics.”

Said Tide Craft president Brandon Larson in the release, “We’re thrilled to partner with Big East Marine to bring Tide Craft Boats to Canada. Working with a fellow performance-boating enthusiast who truly values quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail makes this collaboration even more exciting.

“Big East Marine’s deep roots in the performance-boating world, along with their commitment to exceptional service and customer experience, make them the perfect partner to represent Tide Craft Boats across Canada,” he added.
