Muskegon Lake’s Adelaide Pointe to Feature Super Yacht Slips
A new $12 million marina on Muskegon Lake is set to be completed at the end of the year as part of Adelaide Pointe’s ongoing multi-use development, which will include a hotel, condos, a restaurant, boat sales and more, reports MLive.com. The new marina will feature 233 slips, including rare “super yacht” slips that can accommodate large yachts — one of very few marinas in Michigan able to do so.
In addition to several 80 to 100-foot slips, there will also be one 150-foot slip and multiple transient slips. The marina’s permit has been approved by the Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy, and will soon start dredging on the site of the former West Michigan Steel foundry.
“For super yachts, this 100% definitely puts (Muskegon) on the map,” says developer Ryan Leestma, reports MLive.com. To form the harbor, a 730-foot long breakwall with a public fishing pier will be constructed on the site. Slip use is expected to open at the beginning of 2024.
