Sea Ray Debuts SLX 260 Surf
The newest member of the Sea Ray SLX 260 family is now available for order in North America. The SLX 260 Surf combines the luxury of the SLX 260 with innovative wakesurfing technology for the ultimate on-water experience.
“We kicked off the next chapter of the SLX line earlier this year with the launch of the SLX 260 and SLX 260 Outboard,” says Keith Yunger, Sea Ray president. “We created the SLX 260 Surf as a new option for boaters who are looking for the excitement of watersports but love the elegance of the SLX 260. The SLX 260 Surf presents the best of both worlds without compromise.”
Improved seating with a deeper L-shaped bench and bow lounge seating with foldable armrests provides ultimate onboard comfort, while storage options abound for coolers, gear and inflatables. Owners can choose from the Comfort bundle, Entertainment bundle, Premier Audio package and more for customizations, while the expanded sunpad at the transom and swim platform make for easy water access and lounging.
When it comes to watersports, electric surf tabs and ballast tanks control the wake, while a user interface developed by Sea Ray, Mercury Marine and Simrad allows surf settings to be adjusted at the touch of a button. The SLX Surf comes standard with an electrically actuated watersports tower and integrated Bimini top.
Powered by a Mercury MerCruiser 6.2L MPI ECT engine with forward-facing Bravo Four S drive, integrated SmartCraft technology and Digital Throttle and Shift controls, the SLX 260 Surf offers the ultimate in performance, comfort and fun.
“The SLX 260 Surf offers boaters more flexibility for fun – whether they want to share a romantic getaway, cruise around in comfort with friends, or give watersports a try with the kids or grandkids,” adds Carrie Fodor, senior manager of design engineering. “In addition to advanced features designed to facilitate wakesurfing, the vessel leverages the SLX 260’s elevated style and easy-to-use amenities for an exceptional on-water experience.”
