ULTRA-YACHT launches first Duffy electric boat with solar charging
ULTRA-YACHT, a private luxury yacht chartering company and authorized reseller for Duffy Electric Boats based on Longboat Key, Florida, has introduced the first all-electric Duffy Boat that features a solar charging option. The Duffy Bayshore 18, a zero-emission, ultra-quiet, low-maintenance boat, is now able to top off the batteries using power from the sun. The 18-foot vessel (7’ 10” beam) seats up to nine people comfortably. She has a top speed of about 6 mph and can operate at cruising speed for up to 12 hours of fun on the water.
“The Duffy Electric Boat Company has been making the first and finest electric boats right here in the USA for over 50 years. Starting today, we are able to offer a great Duffy boat that has been enhanced with a solar charging option for a carefree full day on the water,” said Ed Kolodzieski, founder and CEO of ULTRA-YACHT. “A Duffy is an outstanding way to explore the natural beauty of Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway, bays, lakes, and rivers while producing zero emissions. It is great to relax and have fun at five miles per hour without ever stopping for gas.” ultra-duffy.com
