AMP Out For Miami Boat Show
Known simply as AMP in the go-fast boating world, American Marine Performance displayed a solid mix of center console and catamaran models at the 2024 Miami International Boat Show. In fact, the Pompano Beach, Fla., company’s exhibit was among the highlights at the docks behind the Herald Plaza venue.
But the builder is opting out of this year’s Miami event, set for February 12-16, in favor of smaller, regional boat shows this season.

“Last year was 50-percent less traffic than the year before,” explained Walt Braithwaite, the vice-president of the company. “We did way better at the Palm Beach show.”
Originally planned for a Miami release, the new AMP 433 center console will debut later this year.
“The 433 should be done for the Palm Beach show,” said Braithwaite. “The boat is spectacular and should make some waves. The first 39-foot cat also should be done in a couple of weeks.
“We just finished with the show in Cape Coral (Fla.) and we’re doing St. Petersburg next week,” he added.
