Humminbird is teasing a new product announcement coming on Monday, December 9 at 12:09 pm. While official Humminbird channels have been tightlipped ahead of the announcement, leaked marketing materials from the METSTRADE Show in Amsterdam held in November suggest that the new products include MEGA Live 2 forward-facing sonar and a new XPLORE series.
You can sign up to be notified when the new products launch on the Humminbird site and catch the announcement on Facebook Watch at time of launch on Monday.
Here’s a breakdown of rumors that have been circulating since the METSTRADE show in late November. This information has not been confirmed by Humminbird, so please consider it preliminary prior to the official announcement from Humminbird.
MEGA Live 2 will offer faster processing and enhanced features, including improved shielding, cable quality, and snap function in down/forward modes. Software upgrades will allow better bait/fish visibility, higher ping rate, and less image noise. New “Open Water Mode” with Target Boost for pelagic fishing will enhance target-background separation up to 165 feet.
XPLORE Series will be a new mid-tier line positioned between the Helix and Apex series. It will effectively replace the Solix series and part of the Helix series. It will be available in 9”, 10”, and 12” screens with 1280×800 resolution. The Apex series will remain as the flagship with high-end features and compatibility.
