Everything Boating
On this Veterans Day—the Monday following a full week of shooting by speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden in Key West, Fla., for the Florida Powerboat Club’s season-ending poker run and the Key West Offshore World Championships produced by Race World Offshore—it’s a shame to admit that Boden is stuck working today. But that’s the nature of the devoted shooter and former U.S. Navy member who unselfishly decided to serve his country decades ago and today is unselfishly editing photos from Sunday’s Key West Worlds so the speedonthewater.com audience can enjoy them alongside offshore racing editor Eric Colby’s extensive recap (which should be live in less than an hour).

For his endless dedication to bringing you all the best images possible, and for his years of traveling the globe tirelessly for this amazing country, let’s all salute Mr. Boden and the veterans around this country who served—and sacrificed it all—for the good of the United States of America.
And let’s take solace in the fact that maybe Boden can get a full day of R&R tomorrow and that he was able to enjoy some down time while in Key West thanks to his friends, Jim Lee and Chuck and Nikki Sorenson.
