Deep Impact Ready To Debut New 499 Sport At Fort Lauderdale Show

The team at Deep Impact Boats in South Florida is excited to announce the debut of its new flagship—the Deep Impact 499 Sport—at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, taking place October 30 through November 3.

Eagerly awaited since being teased a few years back, the nearly 50-foot-long center console that has a 12’ 6”-wide beam is going to be on display at the Deep Impact booth—Dock GH, Slips 20-22—alongside new 399 Sport and 369 Sport models. According to a press release from Tavernier, Fla.-based Plantation Boat Mart & Marina, the exclusive dealer for Deep Impact and Blackwater Boats, the monstrous model offers an ideal balance of power and comfort thanks to its innovative design, superior craftsmanship and abundance of customizable options meticulously tailored to each owner’s specifications.

“Hailed as ‘The New Leader’ on the water, the Deep Impact 499 Sport is engineered to set a new standard in performance, luxury and versatility,” said Valentina Botero, the marketing manager for Plantation Boat Mart & Marina, in the release. “Whether cruising, winning poker runs or embarking on extended stays in the Bahamas, this vessel is built to dominate both ocean- and lake-going boaters. We can’t wait for the attendees of FLIBS 2024 to get to experience the 499 Sport firsthand at the Deep Impact booth.”

According to the release, the Deep Impact 499 Sport offers a wide range of seating—the boat was designed to comfortably seat up to 19 adults—convenience and comfort options, ensuring owners can create their ideal 49-footer. Between its ultramodern oversized hard top with quad tinted sun windows, its actuated wind guards and its mass at close to 25,000 pounds, it’s clear the 499 Sport was designed to withstand and conquer rough conditions and elements.

The 499 Sport is coming to life at the Deep Impact facility in Opa-locka, Fla.

And with 955 gallons of fuel in its tanks, 75 gallons of freshwater capacity and an inverter option with upgraded lithium batteries or a generator with a 78-gallon diesel tank, there’s no doubt the boat was built for island-hopping and prolonged adventures on the water.

For more proof, look no further than the full cabin with a separate head, a full-size bed and a kitchenette that offers plenty of privacy and convenience during extended stays. With a bright atmosphere thanks to the natural light provided by the hullside windows, the cabin also is equipped with a wraparound couch, TV, fridge, microwave, sink, and the option to upgrade to a custom mattress and bedding. The cabinetry and countertops are fully customizable with choices including, but not limited to, Corian, marble or teak.

The 499 Sport includes a starboard-side dive door that fully recesses when opened for optimal space when entering and exiting the boat, as well as options for bow and stern thrusters and gyro stabilizers.

Deep Impact is offering the 499 Sport with a variety of power configurations, including four Mercury Marine V12 Verado 600 engines, five Mercury Racing V10 400R or V8 500R engines, and six Mercury Racing V10 400R or V8 500R engines.

As expected, the options are aplenty when it comes to electronics, upholstery, flooring and paint/gelcoat. According to Botero, hull No. 1, which is fully loaded, features a plush Alcantara interior with leather accents.

Inviting any interested boaters to come take a closer look at the 499 Sport in Fort Lauderdale or to reach out to her to come visit the Florida Keys dealership after the show, Botero added, “The owners have spoken, and we have listened. The all-new 499 Sport is a testament to the company’s dedication to quality craftsmanship, performance and innovation.”
