Numarine 30XP

More and more builders are getting into the diesel hybrid/electric space. This time, diesel/electric is an option on the 30XP explorer yacht from Turkey’s Numarine—and they say they’ve already landed contracts for four of them right out of the gate. In the hybrid version, a pair of electric motors draw their juice from four 108 kW diesel generators. The builder says this configuration—similar in concept to most diesel train locomotives running today—is highly efficient, particularly at low speeds. Numarine expects a max speed of around 13 knots from the 30XP’s displacement hull, a cruise of ten knots and a range of 3,000 nm. With her Scandinavian-designed interior and a massive 500 square foot beach club, this is an impressive looking build.
