The general boating world will get its first look at the new 457 CCF, as well its 457 Center Console Sport sibling introduced earlier this year, at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 30-November 3.
The first 457 CCF, which is powered by triple 600-hp Mercury Marine Verado 600 outboard engines, is going to be on display at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center—slip #H815—throughout the show. On opening day, Wednesday, Oct. 30, Formula is hosting an introduction event at the display with refreshments starting at 1 p.m.
According to a press release from the company, the center console world—media, builders and consumers alike—has been impressed by Formula’s recent introduction of the 387 Center Console Fish and Sport models that led to the development of the 457 CCF and 457 CCS models, the latter of which is a wave-crushing, feature-filled, almost-14-foot-wide platform minus the fish-hunting characteristics and equipment options found in the CCF version.
Loaded with a standard Seakeeper 6 that eliminates up to 95 percent of boat roll for a steady platform along with dual 50-gallon pressurized live wells aft, secure storage for up to eight dive tanks, a multitude of fishing-focused upgrade configurations from radar and cameras to freezer plates and YETI buckets, the 457 CCF can be customized with an upper helm station featuring its own hardtop.

“Sure-footed, solid and dependable, the 457 will confidently carry you to offshore fishing grounds or distant ports of call,” the release stated. “The robust, wide hardtop safeguards from blazing sun and torrential downpours yet melds into an organic synthesis of the hull and deck. Accented with multicolored LED lighting, center ladder and access hatch, the hardtop features an impressive compound curved windshield with power-opening forward glass and washer/wiper combo, ruggedly engineered to be open while underway.
“Formula’s exclusive designer John Adams, joined by designer Michael Young, has delivered yet another new platform in the center console world which embodies the evocative yet instantly recognizable Formula masterpiece of form and function, while opening new vistas for established Formula boaters,” the release continued. “The 457 CCF is a dedicated and designed fish hunter, shaped and equipped to haul in your catch.”
The 45-footer has custom-designed triple helm seats with individual sit/stand/rest positions, electrically adjusting fore and aft, and foldaway armrests. The ergonomic footrests and in-floor helm storage keep the aisleways clear. The captain and crew enjoy a standard 18,000 BTU air-conditioning system plus an impressive electronics suite, including twin (or triple) 22-inch Raymarine or Garmin widescreen color chartplotters, Mercury DTS with 7-inch SmartCraft VesselView, Mercury Joystick Piloting and Bennett trim tab system, plus VHF radio with available motorized antennas.
Three wireless charging mounts and two lockable drawers keep electronics and valuables safe. On board are 13 dual USB charging ports, a multizone Rockford Fosgate stereo with JL Audio multicolor lighted speakers, multicolored LED lighting throughout, and up to 29 lighted drink holders, which all sync to music. There are six more unlighted drink holders on the port and starboard entry door rails, plus up to 16 rod/drink holders around the gunwales, up to 11 dedicated rod holders throughout and nine “rocket launcher” rod holders at the back of the hardtop. Two LED pop-up accent lights at the bow extend the good times.
The 457 CCF tops 60 mph with triple Mercury Marine Verado 600 engines providing the power.
The open bow features dual forward-facing sun lounges with outer armrests, a center flip-down armrest with drink holders and insulated storage below. Wraparound bow seating includes removable cushions and fiberglass seat lids with storage below, a removeable center seat, two tip-out trash cans, plus a power adjustable table for snacks or meals that converts to a sun lounge with a filler cushion.
Of course the 457 Center Console’s cabin is not to be missed. Entering through the portside console door, three Corian steps lead down to woodgrain-finish flooring and 6 feet, 6 inches of headroom. The cabin is fully appointed for comfortable overnights with a galley in open-grain finish cabinetry with Corian countertops, a concealed custom-molded sink with a cover, a stainless pull-out fridge and microwave, abundant storage, a 32-inch LED/LCD HDTV, an 8,000 BTU air conditioner and two opening portlights. A molded private head compartment with pressurized freshwater, a custom molded vessel sink, upper and lower cabinet storage, a separate stall shower and a Vacuflush head helps round out the multi-faceted 457 CCF.
