Heesen Yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show: Showcasing Excellence and Introducing New Designs

Heesen Yachts is pleased to announce its participation in the 32nd edition of the Monaco Yacht Show. This annual event is a cornerstone of the yachting calendar and is bringing together more than 500 exhibitors – including shipyards, naval architects, and luxury brands – as well as attracting thousands of visitors, from yacht owners to industry professionals.

Highlights

  • 12 yachts under construction
  • Deliveries through 2027
  • Next 55m Steel yacht available Project Agnetha Q2, 2025
  • MY Moskito, 55m Steel, on display at the MYS berth S13
  • New design launch: 62m Steel Project Monte-Carlo

55m Moskito
At the forefront of Heesen’s display is 55m Moskito, which is renowned as a successful charter yacht. Moskito exemplifies what clients can enjoy with Heesen’s 55m steel series—skillfully designed, smartly engineered, and impeccably built in the Netherlands.

For potential clients Moskito’s sister ship, Project Agnetha, is currently under construction and is the only yacht of its size built by a Northern European shipyard that is available on the market – with delivery in Q2 2025.

The Heesen 55m class is a key player in the Dutch yard’s short delivery program. With an internal volume of 760 GT, the series offers all the luxurious features expected of a high-end yacht, while still being compact enough to access the charming smaller ports of the Mediterranean.

Last year, in collaboration with Omega Architects and Luca Dini Design & Architecture, Heesen revisited the exterior lines and interior layout, updating them with the latest trends and future-proofing this remarkable engineering platform.

62m Project Monte-Carlo
The Monaco Yacht Show also presents an opportunity for Heesen to reveal its latest collaboration with British design firm Harrison Eidsgaard. It marks the fourth partnership as the duo introduce Project Monte Carlo—a 62m steel custom yacht. As part of Heesen’s full custom family, the design provides clients with a creative foundation to tailor their own unique vessel. It is ideal for clients who may find a blank canvas daunting, offering a solid base to bring their dreams to life.

Further details of Project Monte Carlo will be exclusively revealed at Heesen’s annual press conference on Wednesday September 25. The event will also present the chance for Heesen’s CEO Niels Vaessen to share an update on Heesen’s current projects and future strategy.

Vaessen comments: “The Monaco Yacht Show is the biggest event in the global yachting calendar. At this year’s show we are delighted to present Moskito, which is an excellent showcase of Heesen’s series offering, as well as an exciting new custom design with Harrison Eidsgaard. Moskito and Project Monte-Carlo help to demonstrate the broad portfolio that Heesen offers to clients.”

Future focus
This year’s show also highlights the event’s growing emphasis on sustainability, with a focus on eco-friendly technologies and practices.

Sustainability is an integral part of Heesen’s design and engineering ethos. Its ‘BlueNautech’ sustainability program is founded on six pillars, each dedicated to minimising the environmental impact of its yachts.

“This program is not merely theoretical; it’s a tangible, actionable strategy that we rigorously implement in the construction and operation of our vessels,” adds Vaessen. “Through innovative technologies and eco-friendly practices, we are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of our yachts as much as possible. By integrating these sustainable principles into every aspect of our design and build processes, we ensure that our yachts deliver not only unmatched performance and elegance but also contribute positively to the preservation of our oceans and the planet.”

Additionally, this year marks a significant moment for Heesen as the firm bids farewell to company stalwart Mark Cavendish, retiring after 16 years of dedicated service. Heesen will take the opportunity to welcome Ruud van der Stroom as its new Chief Commercial Officer.

Heesen’s stand is located at the heart of the Monaco Yacht Show, on the T-Central (Appontement Jules Soccal), with MY Moskito berthed at S-13.
