Concept Boats Announces New 36-Foot Center Console For 2025 Release
Next year is shaping up to be a huge year for the team at Concept Boats. Not only is the Opa-locka, Fla., builder going to be releasing its first 53-foot luxury performance center console, the company recently announced it is planning to introduce a new 36-footer, which, according to Concept vice president Eric Avila, is going to be a game changer.
Concept Boats recently announced it was developing a completely new 36-foot center console.
“For more than 30 years, the 36 has been the No. 1-selling boat for our company and we haven’t really needed to update it or come out with a new style because it works and our customers love it,” said Avila, whose father, Luis, founded the company in 1986. “Obviously the 36 has been good to us, but the time has come to give it an update and make it more appealing in today’s market. With a beam of 10 feet, 6 inches, the new 3600 is going to be significantly wider than the 8-foot beam of the current 36, which will open up more space on the new boat.”
Avila said the new 36-footer has a roomy open bow up front, a large swim platform on the back and a spacious console in the middle featuring a berth and a separate bathroom with a flushable head.
“The head compartment should be a nice selling point for the wives and the families,” Avila said. “We put a lot of thought into the details of this boat. The hull design as well. I mean, it’s an incredible hull design we created with the designers at SFG Yacht Design in Europe. Franco Gianni of SFG Yacht Design really helped turn my vision into a reality. We’re excited to see how well it performs with three Mercury Racing 500R engines. We’re expecting great things.”

He added that the boat’s deck design allows for either single- or dual-row bolster seating behind the console depending on customer preference.
Avila, who said that the plugs and molds for the new 3600 are starting this year, wanted to thank his father for having the confidence in him to roll out a newly designed 36-footer around the same time the company was working on its largest model to date.
“We’ve got a lot going on, but the timing is good to update the 36,” Avila explained. “And so far, a lot of our customers are saying this is the best thing we could have come out with right now. I have a feeling we’re going to get some good customers back, too. Owners who moved on to boats with wider beams because we didn’t offer any.”
Hopeful he’ll have the first 36 in the water toward the end of next year, Avila said hull numbers one through three are sold and that the next three or four also will be accounted for soon based on recent customer communication.
“It’s something that’s been on our minds for a few years so it’s nice to be moving ahead with the new 36,” said Avila, adding that interested buyers can contact him directly at 954-830-2644.
