Four Winns TH36
French-owned builder Four Winns launched a new range of outboard-powered catamarans starting with the TH36. This large bowrider (38′ 5″ LOA, 14′ 7″ beam) is a Marc Lombard design with sleek lines and a “suspended” hardtop that seems to defy gravity. The dual console design places the helm to starboard with a companion seat to port and a walk-through windshield center. Twin dinettes, an outdoor galley, and plenty of modular sunbed space (both forward and aft) create comfortable on-deck living. Australian boatbuilder Iliad Catamarans brought us its 62-footer last year, and now has added its new 53 Fly. This distance cruiser comes standard with all kinds of amenities, including air conditioning, generator, bow thruster, full-sized freezer, washer/dryer, lithium batteries with a 5,000-watt inverter, a full electronics suite, and a hardtop loaded with solar panels. One hull is dedicated to the sumptuous master suite while two guest cabins nestle on the other side. Powered by twin 440-hp Yanmar diesels (Cummins 550-hp optional), the Iliad 53F (53′ 7″ LOA,

Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins plus four crew in an unusual twist—the main deck is the domain of the owner complete with private foredeck lounge. To assist with extended at-anchor living, there are 1,600 square feet of solar panels and 30 lithium batteries that can provide limited electric-only propulsion. Based on the preceding 2503, the Stellar F2603 offers more power and higher speeds on this aluminum tri-deck platform which can also be spec’d with a tuna tower. Silent Yachts 62
Austrian builder Silent Yachts introduced the new 62 which is based on its 60 but with a third deck that adds 164 square feet of living space and seven extra feet of hull length. This tri-deck offers a choice of an open flybridge, enclosed skylounge, or an owner’s suite up top. The 62 (61′ 10″ LOA, 29′ 5″ beam) is equipped with twin 340-kW electric motors, a 150-kW diesel generator, and 42 solar panels generating up to 17 kWp. The high-energy density 286-kWh lithium battery bank is water cooled and has a lifespan of more than 3,500 recharge cycles. Lazzara LPC 300
Lazzara’s LPC 300 cat is a massive three-deck platform that offers 3,200 square feet of living space and accommodations for 10 guests in five staterooms plus two crew cabins. The full-beam master suite offers direct access to the beach club and mezzanine formed by a drop hull side. The LPC 300 (70′ LOA, 29′ beam) is designed with a drainage pipe system (rather than hoses) that connects every drain aboard. It releases all water through a discharge box thereby eliminating the need for thru-hulls. There’s also a sea chest that treats incoming water with ultraviolet light to kill microorganisms to provide clean water for generators and engines. If Scandinavian design is your thing, visit the new Swedish SilverCat 22M, a 72-footer with a top speed of 20 knots. This aluminum cruiser (72′ 2″ LOA, 35′ 5″ beam) offers 585 square feet of dining and lounge areas and has a three-stateroom layout. Norwegian designer Espen Øino leans heavily on simple lines and a robust platform. Interior design by TDOS Yachts focuses on contemporary living and loose configurable furniture. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a large tender garage, and a fireplace on the main deck are just a few of the super-lux highlights. Turkish boatbuilder VisionF Yachts has launched its flagship, the aluminum F82. This semicustom design is all about luxurious space including a 580-square-foot salon and a nearly 200-square-foot master suite. The foredeck could hold a pickleball court and includes a sunken breakfast nook and large sunbeds. More lounge space is up on the sleek flybridge that also features the exterior helm. The hardtop can be optioned with enough solar panels to operate the boat for 20 hours without the need for a generator. YOT 36
The YOT 36 (35′ 10″ LOA, 13′ 1″ beam) is an express boat powered by twin 300-hp Mercury V8 engines and capable of a top speed around 35 knots with a 20-25-knot cruise. The boat’s profile is attractive with contemporary hull lines, an angled hardtop, double drop terraces, and an asymmetrical walkaround design. The starboard deck from the helm forward is deep providing a safe walkway to the bow. On port, you can still walk forward to attach dock lines or reach the windlass, but the deck here is raised to make room for the cabin below. NovaLuxe ELight 44
A revamped 43-footer, the new ELight 44 sports larger windows, more fluid lines, and is one-and-a-half tons lighter than her predecessor. But the real attraction is the all-electric propulsion system which will drive this model at 14 knots of top speed or at a seven-knot cruise for 1,000 miles. The ELight 44 (44′ LOA, 21′ 6″ beam) is available with either parallel or serial hybrid propulsion systems. The serial system is a familiar solution from Torqeedo. The not-yet-released parallel version is expected to deliver a higher top speed. The solar array on the flybridge hardtop generates more power than the estimated hotel requirements so you’ll have power leftover after an extended stay at anchor to motor 10-40 miles to the next island. Makai 37
Designed in Italy and built in Croatia, the new Makai M37 has been heavily influenced by Italian sports car aesthetics. This sports coupe is very livable with a 108-square-foot cockpit, a large sunbed aft, a galley module on deck, and two cabins with ensuite heads below. A fun element is the hardtop which comes with a sunroof and can be spec’d with eye-catching colors to match the chosen upholstery. The Makai M37 (36′ 5″ LOA, 15′ 2″ beam) is powered by twin 320-hp Yanmar V8 inboards with sterndrives and can be upgraded to two 370-hp engines. From a brand known for racing sailboats comes a new powercat, the Infiniti 60, in collaboration with Design Unlimited and Concept Yachts. The key to this cat is retractable foil technology that promises a 35 percent savings in fuel consumption and a top speed of 40 knots. Powered by twin 600-hp Mercury Verado V8 outboards, the Infiniti 60 (60′ LOA, 21′ 6″ beam) is also offered with electric propulsion as an option. Both GT (flybridge) and Coupe (sedan) versions are available, and owners can spec two to four staterooms with an optional crew cabin. BlueCat 30
Blue Gulf Cat Boatbuilders hail from the United Arab Emirates, and they offer a line of durable walkaround catamarans from 17 to 43 feet. Unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show last fall, the newest arrival from Abu Dhabi is the BlueCat 30 (30′ LOA, 12′ 6″ beam) that is rumored to do an astounding 100 mph with quad Mercury 400R racing outboards. Covered with copious amounts of synthetic teak throughout the cockpit and on the gunwales, this model bills itself as a “high-speed fishing cat” with impressive stability from its generous beam. There’s seating for five under the hardtop, two ahead of the console, and two more on the large sunbed which can also be a casting platform. Twin livewells are aft and twin fishing boxes forward. Hudson 63 (and 47)
Hudson Yacht Group of China has engaged Kit Carlier Design to develop a line of powercats for two upcoming models, the 63 and the 47. The Hudson 63 (62′ 10″ LOA, 26′ 2″ beam) will showcase a full-beam master, three ensuite guest cabins, and a large entertaining salon. With 1,000-hp per side and the added lift from the incorporated foiling system, the 63 will cruise at 27 knots for 1,000 nautical miles. An option is to spec an all-carbon fiber build and jet engines which are expected to reach 40 knots at the top. The Hudson 47 (47′ LOA and 22′ 8″ beam, above) glides on wave-piercing asymmetrical hulls. With 900-hp, she will deliver a 27-knot cruise and a 500-nautical miles range.
