Bago Big Bet Brew On Tap For Inaugural Event
Every poker run has its own flavor, but the inaugural Bago Big Bet set for June 20-23 in Oshkosh, Wis., will have its own beer. The event-themed brew is dubbed Bago Big Bet Light Lager and is a product of Oshkosh-based Fox River Brewing Company.
All powerboat-drivers will, of course, wait until they’re off the water to enjoy the beverage.
The brewery will host the Friday night opening party and the event-closing Sunday brunch as well as the pre-event kick-off bash—set for April 20—for the inaugural four-day happening presented by Mercury Racing. When brewery management offered to produce a special beer for the event, veteran organizer Shannon Higgins jumped at the branding opportunity.
“Fox River Brewing Company has been extremely generous,” Higgins explained. “When they offered the venue for our event, they also offered its own beer. It will be available at the kickoff party on April 20 and at our various locations where we’ll be stopping at throughout the weekend of the event.
“The kick-off party this month is just a way for everybody to get together,” she added. “I’ll run some registration specials, people can ask questions to get more clarification on the event and meet other attendees.”
