Torqeedo Launches New Line of Electric Outboards

Torqeedo introduces its all-new Travel family of electric outboards, which feature a modular, flexible and customizable design. Within the Travel family, there are four packages to choose from: The Adventure Package, the Essential Package, the Range Package and the Power Package.

Once the package is selected, several charging, propeller and accessory options allow boaters to build their perfect electric Travel companion. The flagship of the series, the Travel XP, is part of the power package and is a 1,600 W direct-drive outboard.

“These innovative outboards are designed to be ultra-easy to use, transport and stow, and the click-and-play battery means no more cables to connect. Once the battery is removed with a click and the tiller is folded, the compact and lightweight motor is easy to hand up and down to the dinghy, fits easily in a lazarette, and won’t leak fuel and oil while stored,” says Thomas Wiedemann, senior vice president of Torqeedo’s global program management.
