Join hosts FromStreamtoBay and Great Lakes Great Responsibility on April 22 from 1-3 pm at the Metzger Marsh Wildlife Refuge in Curtis, Ohio, for an Earth Day cleanup on Lake Erie. The shoreline gets littered with marine debris over the winter from nearby watershed drainage, and the hosts are hoping to join volunteers in helping to protect and maintain this special spot on the Great Lakes.

Cleanup supplies will be on site, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own (gloves, buckets, wheelbarrows, etc.). FromStreamtoBay and Great Lakes Great Responsibility are working closely with the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and Ohio Department of Natural Resources to maximize impact from the event, which is set to take place rain or shine.

So grab a friend or family member and head out to support the Great Lakes and Metzger Marsh Wildlife Refuge this Earth Day. Closed toe shoes are required to navigate the rocky terrain, and carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking.
