Watch the sunset over Lake Michigan from aboard the historic S.S. Badger, the last coal-fired passenger steamer in the U.S. The car ferry, which provides service between Ludington, Michigan, and Manitowoc, Wisconsin, will be offering three sunset cruises this summer, starting with the first on July 4, when passengers can watch the fireworks from on board, reports MLive.com.

The S.S. Badger will board in Ludington, Michigan, and cruise the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Each cruise will feature a different theme, live entertainment, food and a cash bar, and guests can enjoy the on board gift shop, movie theater, museum and lounge.

This year marks the S.S. Badgers 70th anniversary. In 2016, the 410-foot ship was recognized as a National Historic Landmark, and it remains the last Great Lakes railcar ferry in operation.

In addition to the three sunset cruises on July 4, July 29 and August 19, the ferry will offer three afternoon shoreline cruises June 17, July 22 and August 12 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
